Common questions

Getting started

Is it really free? Is there anything to pay?

Yes, genuinely. Posting jobs, sending applications, creating a profile and attaching files all cost nothing, and we take no commission on the value of agreed work.

The only deduction from an agreed amount is the 3% withholding tax, which corporate clients remit to the Revenue Department by law. None of it comes to us.

What do I need to sign up?

An email address and a password. No ID card, no credit card, no phone verification.

Can one account be both a client and a freelancer?

Yes. A single account runs both modes — switch with the toggle in the top bar, or enable the unused mode in settings. Your postings and your applications stay in separate sections.

Why must I complete a profile before applying?

Because clients always see the profile alongside the application. Applications from empty profiles are almost never selected, and the requirement blocks fake accounts from bulk-messaging.

You need a headline of at least 10 characters and a bio of at least 60.

Postings and review

Why is my posting not live yet?

Every posting queues for review before publication, normally within 24 hours on business days. If the system flags a signal — a phone number in the body, for instance — it takes slightly longer because someone has to read the context.

My posting was rejected. What now?

You receive an email with the specific reason. Fix it and resubmit immediately; there is no limit on attempts.

If you think the decision was wrong, write to us through the contact form within 30 days. Someone who did not make the original call reviews it.

Can I edit a posting that is already live?

Yes, but it returns to the review queue. This stops content being swapped out after approval.

Why the 5-postings-per-day limit?

It stops spam and accounts that repost the same listing. If you genuinely hire for many roles at once, write to us through the contact form and we lift it.

Applications and contact

When does a client see my phone number?

Only when they select your application. Before that, your phone and LINE ID are never sent from the server at all — not merely hidden in the page.

Once the status changes to accepted, you see the client's contact details too.

Can I apply twice to the same job?

No — one application per job. To change your proposal, withdraw the first one and submit again.

How many applications can I send per day?

Twenty. That is enough for deliberate applications and few enough to discourage pasting one message into every listing.

Is there a chat inside the site?

Not in this version. Once a client selects an application, both sides have each other's contact details and talk directly.

Money and paperwork

Does JobDee hold the money during a project?

No. There is no escrow — payment moves directly between client and freelancer.

We recommend agreeing milestones in writing before starting. The common arrangement is 30–50% on start, the balance on final delivery.

If a client does not pay, how far can JobDee help?

We cannot refund you, because we never held your money. What we can do is investigate the conduct, suspend the offending account, and issue a copy of the platform records for you to use as evidence.

Who issues receipts or tax invoices?

The freelancer, according to how they are registered. Those registered for VAT (revenue above THB 1.8m a year) can issue a tax invoice; others issue a receipt. Confirm before agreeing the work if your finance team needs a particular document.

Account and data

I forgot my password

Use "Forgot password" on the login page. We email a link, valid for one hour and usable once. After you set a new password every other device is logged out.

Can I get a copy of all my data?

Immediately. "Download my data" in settings returns a JSON file with your account, postings, applications and consent history. No email request needed.

If I delete my account, is the data really gone?

Personal data is erased within 30 days. What remains are records the law requires us to keep, such as consent logs — and those are detached from your identity.

Deletion cannot be undone; your postings and applications go with it.

If I reject cookies, does the site still work?

Completely. The necessary cookies — remembering that you are logged in — still function. Only analytics is switched off, and that changes nothing about how the site behaves.

Safety

I found a posting asking for money up front

Do not transfer anything, and press the report button on that posting, or write to us through the contact form. We answer safety reports within 4 hours, including outside office hours.

No genuine job charges the worker. That single rule eliminates more than half of all scams.

What if I already sent money?

Contact your bank immediately to request a freeze, and call 1441 (Technology Crime Suppression). Speed decides the outcome — do not wait for our investigation. Report it to us in parallel.

Does JobDee verify identity with ID cards?

No. Today we verify an email address only. While we handle no money, holding ID card copies creates more risk than it removes. We will revisit this if payments are ever added.
